Foreign Policy Is Ever-Changing for Obama

I'm totally bored tonight so just out of curiosity I ventured over to Barry's website. I was curious to what his actual stated plan was on the Iraq War. Here is what I found:

Barack Obama will responsibly end the war in Iraq:
Immediately upon taking office, Obama will give his Secretary of Defense and military commanders a new mission in Iraq: successfully ending the war. The removal of our troops will be responsible and phased.

Encourage political accommodation:
Obama and Biden will press Iraq's leaders to take responsibility for their future and to substantially spend their oil revenues on their own reconstruction.

Increase stability in Iraq and the region:
Obama and Biden will launch an aggressive diplomatic effort to reach a comprehensive compact on the stability of Iraq and the region. They also will address Iraq's refugee crisis.

So, he plans on "successfully ending the war"? That's his plan?!?!?! What in the world does he think we're doing now? What an idiot! People are buying this? This guy is setting himself up to be a huge disappointment to CODE PINK and the rest of the wackos. Successfully end the war? Does that mean win the war? Sounds like it. Sounds like he's gonna stay there until its safe for the Iraqi people and there is a solid government in place. Sounds like the same old Bush! Sounds like the same old "failed" policy we've had in Iraq for the past eight years.

What a sales job the MSM has done on the American people.

You may want to check out McCainarthy's page. While it's longer, it basically says the same thing.

By the way, McCainarthy is fond of saying that he would catch bin Laden, that "I know how to do it". Why won't he share that little piece of info with the rest of the world? Does he consider catching bin Laden only important if he does it?

The war is costing us $10 billion a month. Think about that, and think about our economy. Where do you think that money comes from? If jobs are lost (as they have been under Bush, and will continue no matter who is elected), then tax revenue goes down. We've already put up over $850 billion for bailouts. When the government runs out of money, they print more, causing inflation. Do you honestly think it's a good idea to be there 100 years or more?

If the economy gets bad enough (which I fear it would under McCain, who knows little about it), then we may have to leave Iraq simply because we can't pay for it. McCain clearly wants to expand the fronts we're fighting on, and has a history of "shooting from the hip", ignoring advisers (who are mainly lobbyists anyway, so maybe that's not a bad thing) - that sounds like a great quality to have in a president, especially in light of his temper, his hatred of "gooks" and his high-quality VP pick.

Ok... I cannot even begin to respond to your post. The bottom-line is that Obama has the same Iraq policy that we have now. He ran on a "bring the troops home now, it's over, we lost" platform, and now he changes his tune.
