Let's take a look what the Democratic brain-trust in Congress had to
say today about a solution for the Big 3 automakers:
Earlier today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that she and Senate Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will send a letter to the heads of GM, Ford and Chrysler, telling them what they need to show Congress in order to get federal bailout money.
Pelosi said that she wants lawmakers to tell Congress that, if it approves the bailout, Detroit will:
1. pay no shareholder dividends
2. give no bonuses to employees making more than $200,000
3. explain how they will invest in advanced technology to make more fuel-efficient vehicles
Let me translate these three ingenious recommendations for the "Hope and Change" crowd:
1. make their stock even less attractive to investors
2. run-off every bit of talent they have by taking away monetary incentives
3. squander the little bit of cash they currently have by investing in "green" technology while gas is closing in on a $1.50 per gallon

Why should the auto industry be any better than the rest of the country. They're going to screw us too.
Scooters. They use no gas at all and are environmentally friendly. Capable of speeds in excess of 35MPH downhill. We need to think green, Mundy. Did you see that they released some of the illegally held people from Guantanamo?
Bwaahaaahaaahaa.
