Tomorrow's Polls!

From Drudge:

ZOGBY SATURDAY: Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error... McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

The Many Reasons to Vote for John McCain

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

"McCain will employ diplomacy, not worship it."

NATIONAL DEFENSE

He is for a strong national defense. "McCain believes that there is evil in the world and that it must be confronted. While Mr. Obama and many others seem to think that our enemies will purr like kittens once we inaugurate a black man with an Islamic middle name, that is dangerous fantasy."

He fought for the United States as a Naval officer. "He can trace his ancestry back to an officer on Gen. George Washington's staff and his family has served the nation nobly in war and peace ever since."

"McCain's intimate familiarity with military matters also makes him less biddable by the armed services. . . . He brings an informed skepticism to military procurement requests as well."

He supported the successful "surge" by US forces in Iraq. "He was able, when most others (most notably his opponent) were not, to see that a change of strategy in Iraq -- not a retreat -- was needed."

He will see to it that U.S. forces leave Iraq with both victory and honor for the United States.

CIVIL LIBERTIES

He is for Second Amendment rights.

CHARACTER/ETHICS/VALUES

He kept his word on taking public campaign financing.

He doesn't vote "present" in tough votes on legislation.

He has never taken an earmark.

He is pro-life. Making a decision about abortion is not "above his paygrade".

He can make tough decisions that put country above himself, such as when he refused early release as a POW, knowing that this would mean more torture for him.

McCain might have made more of the fact that he rebuilt his broken body after being tortured in prison, defied the pessimistic medical prognostications, and flew combat aircraft again. Then he took command of the Navy's largest air squadron, which he revived to flight readiness. That is an act of executive prowess no one else in this presidential race can claim. Next, he became naval liaison to the Senate and helped rebuild the American military by working with senators on both sides of the aisle. As a congressman and a senator, he has continued this sort of bipartisan reform.

He doesn't cry "racism" every time someone disagrees with him.

His character allows him to associate only with pro-American political supporters.

He has a profound respect for American patriotic traditions, such as holding his hand over his heart for the National Anthem.

He attends church for reasons of faith, not ideological and political expediency.

He favors the Defense of Marriage Act.

He has a sense of humor.

HEALTH CARE

His health care plan will make health care more affordable using a market solution. He will not create a vast bureaucracy that will insert the Federal government between you and your doctor. "McCain's health care proposal will improve the world's best health care delivery system. He proposes to reform the most distorting aspect of our current system (the tax break for employers) and give the tax break to individuals instead."

THE CANDIDATE OF THE PEOPLE

His political ideology matches that of mainstream Americans.

He listens to small-town Americans, never putting them down.

MEDIA

The mainstream media hates him and Sarah Palin, which is a badge of honor.

THE ECONOMY/TAXES/GOVERNMENT SPENDING

McCain wants to spread opportunity around.

He is against further Wall Street "bailouts" using taxpayer money.

He will cut wasteful government spending.

McCain is against new taxes, especially during a recession, when taxpayers can least afford it.

He fought to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but was opposed by Democrats in the Senate.

He will cut corporate taxes so that corporations can survive the recession, then grow, pay dividends to shareholders and hire more employees.

THE FEDERAL JUDICIARY

He understands that judges need to be guided by the Constitution, not "empathy". "John McCain has said that his models for good judicial picks are John Roberts and Samuel Alito."

LEGISLATION

He opposes Card Check, which will lead to union intimidation of workers and violates the tradition of the secret ballot election. "Even George McGovern has denounced this job-killing, freedom-smothering law that Obama supports. Greater unionization will translate into lost productivity, inflationary pressure, and fewer jobs."

He opposes the "Fairness" Doctrine. Its proponents want to use it to silence conservative pundits.

He will oppose the designs of the Democrat majority in the House and Senate.

If Barack Obama is elected president and Democrats control large majorities in the House and Senate, the Obama/Pelosi/Reid triumvirate will move the country decisively in the direction of dying Europe -- low productivity, high joblessness, low birth rates, high taxes, and limp foreign policies. The triumvirate will do this at a time when a vibrant America is more necessary than ever -- with Iran seeking nuclear weapons, Pakistan teetering, al-Qaida regrouping, China and Russia telegraphing hostility, and Iraq just barely emerging into the sunshine. This election has become about far more than John McCain versus Barack Obama; it has become about whether the United States will remain the champion of freedom -- economic and political -- or whether we will join the queue of formerly great nations now struggling to pay for all the social welfare "benefits" their aging and lazy populations demand.

At best an Obama presidency would be a return to the Carter years. At worst it would place this country in a condition of peril that we have never experienced in modern times. McCain will protect the country and put it on the road to recovery. He has protected America all his adult life and deserves another tour of service.

Recent polling suggests that Norm Colemen is starting to pull away from Al Franken in the race for Senator of Minnesota. Listen folks! Losing to Obama will be pretty bad if it happens, but losing to the "hamster" will be unbearable!

I filtered out any poll that uses more than three days of sampling in its average and/or has less than a 1000 person sample. Guess what? That leaves us three polls to look at. Now everyone knows that Rasmussen is the most accurate pollster of the three so even though our average is over 6pts, sitting at 4 on the Rasmussen with three full days left of campaigning is not the worse thing in the world. Don't lose faith folks! In addition to getting McCain elected, we have Dole, Chambliss, Prop 8, and several other races to root for on election night. Stay pumped up, excited, and get your neighbors to the polls! If Rasmussen gets to 1 or 2pts by Tuesday, turnout will give McCain the win!!!

Voter Fraud, Lib Solution: More Big Government

There is a serious problem in this country with regards to voter fraud. For whatever reason, the liberals seem to think that it is hard to vote in the United States. Rick Hansen from the election law blog wrote a piece for Salon promoting his big government solution to the problem.
The solution is to take the job of voter registration for federal elections out of the hands of third parties (and out of the hands of the counties and states) and give it to the federal government. The Constitution grants Congress wide authority over congressional elections. The next president should propose legislation to have the Census Bureau, when it conducts the 2010 census, also register all eligible voters who wish to be registered for future federal elections. High-school seniors could be signed up as well so that they would be registered to vote on their 18th birthday. When people submit change-of-address cards to the post office, election officials would also change their registration information.

So, we have a manufactured problem (hard to register to vote) and now an expensive big government solution. There is no need in this country for ACORN to exist. If an individual wants to vote, it is not hard to vote. Most States allow you to register to vote when you get your license. This is the typical liberal solution to every problem, we need the federal government to take care of it.

This is a rather lengthy post, but I have a point to make and I am not going to short change myself. Obama is a real life Orwellian Big Brother. For the uninitiated, 1984 was a story by George Orwell that laid what a futuristic (it was written in 1949) Totalitariam regime would look like.

Without going into the specific synopsis of the story, as it is not important to make the point, the world that Orwell laid out has erie similarities to, what are, in my opinion, Obama's core beliefs. The populace is watched over by an enigmatic figure named Big Brother. The government in 1984, controls all language, communication, production of goods and the media. In fact, they revise the written history of the world to reflect whatever is true at a given moment. There are three classes of people in 1984, the inner party (elite controlling class), the outer party (government working class) and the Proletariat. The government is so intrusive that television screens are a two way street, they can watch every move. In fact, they go so far as to have thought police, making it illegal to even think ill of Big Brother.

Now before you tell me to adjust my aluminum foil hat, I want to draw some comparisons. Obama, as Big Brother, wants you to feel the warm embrace of Big Government. Obama wants a National Police Force (for what) to protect you. Obama supporters want to Socialize the Oil Companies. Obama wants to Socialize Health Care. Obama wants to supress speech, look at what he and his supports do to those who speak out against him. Obama supports want to introduce the Fairness Doctrine, which would essentially allow them to censor dissent. Obama wants to redistribute wealth, and eventually destroy property rights. Obama has said, "Americans think they can eat all they want, drive their SUVs and keep their thermostats where they want and other countries will say, well that's ok." Obama worked on developing public housing. Obama does not believe in freedom on choice for public schools. Obama has the media in his left pocket. Obama is changing the language, any attack on him is racist, Free Market Fundamenalism is code word for Evil Capitalists, you can be against Free Market Fundamentalism and get away with it. Try to tell the American people that you are Anti-Capitalist. Abortion is not baby murder, it is not even Freedom of Choice anymore, it has become Reproductive Health. How about the liberal proposal to put a tax on high fat food. They will tell you that Conservatives want to tell you how to live your life, but that is just not true. Liberals not only want to control you, they want to tell you how to think. How dare you believe that Homosexuality is a choice.

The pattern goes, Liberal to Socialist to Communist to Totalitarian. In 1949, George Orwell knew exactly where the Left will take us. He foresaw a world without freedom. Liberty cannot be preserved when Property is not a right. Liberty and Freedom cannot be defended without the threat of force (gun rights,) and morals are not absolute without the Freedom of Religion. None of it matters when you lose the Freedom of Speech.

Voting for John McCain and not electing Barack Obama is more important than you can know. The eventual end of an Obama reign of Socialism will forever immortalize the first African American President. The middle class will disappear, the lucky few will become the Outer Party. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Father Flager, and the Liberal Elite will become the Inner Party. The rest, will be the proles, consuming music made by the government, reading books printed by the government, eating food produced by the government, watching television made by the government in support of itself, living their lives in relative poverty only in service to Big Brother.

This is the only place where leftism ends, and once they get in power, they will reshape the rules so that they will never have to relinquish it. They will make you love The One, Obama Big Brother.

Obama taking Hope and Change off the table!

Suprise! Suprise! Suprise! Obama and his henchmen are already trying to figure out how to break the news to all of their supporters that Hope and Change will not be happening anytime soon. Let me to be the first to make this prediction, the Lefties in this country will turn on Barack Obama less than 2 years into his administration and the Green Party will benefit from it. As Bill Clinton revealed yesterday, Barack Obama is going to do whatever benefits him politically first and foremost. He will be unable to satisfy the Libs over at the KOS and the nuts at Code Pink.
"The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change" are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy."

Obama Profiles Muslims

That's right, it may be old news, but I just thought I should remind everyone:

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.
So, if McCain actually did not allow some college students into his event, that is bad. Isn't it worse to not allow somebody based on race and religion?

Clueless Like Carter

All I have to say is, thank you Bill Clinton! Thanks for giving America a sneak preview into an Obama administration. In case you missed it today, Bill Clinton had the following to say while stumping for Obama:

"I haven't cleared this with him and he may even be mad at me for saying this so close to the election, but I know what else he said to his economic advisers (during the crisis)," Clinton told the crowd at a Wednesday night rally with Obama in Florida. "He said, 'Tell me what the right thing to do is. What's the right thing for America? Don't tell me what's popular. You tell me what's right -- I'll figure out how to sell it."
So not only is Obama totally clueless on world affairs, the Middle East, Israel, and Russia, but now we find out he's a total empty suit when it comes to economics.

Here's a sneak preview of an Obama Presidency:

We are right back where we started this week and that is at 5pts up for Obama. Similarly, just about every swing-state is 4 to 6 pts up for Obama. McCain has four days to cut Obama's lead in half. I truly believe we can win this thing on election day if we're less than 2.5pts behind Obama. We'll see tomorrow if Obama got a bump from his infomercial or if there was a backlash due to the pathetic pandering that took place. That entire half-hour spot was an insult to the national I.Q. of America.

GA-Sen: Same Old Dem Race-Baiters

Daily Kos author "brownsox" attempts to paint the following comment by Saxby Chambliss as somehow racist:

The development is not lost on Mr.Chambliss. "There has always been a rush to the polls by African-Americans early," he said at the square in Covington, a quick stop on a bus tour as the campaign entered its final week. He predicted the crowds of early voters would motivate Republicans to turn out. "It has also got our side energized, they see what is happening," he said.
Now here is how Mr. Brownsox spins it via the usual, brain-dead, Socialist manner:

Wait, wait...hang on. Saxby's supporters are getting energized because they see blacks going to the polls? They, er, "see what is happening", as Saxby puts it...and they're energized to go and stop it?
So let me get this right. We know that ninety percent of Black Americans plan on voting for Barack Obama. We also know that the majority of Black Americans historically vote for Democrats. And finally, Black Americans have made up a huge part of the early voting in Georgia. So with all that said. Why is wrong for Republicans to be energized by witnessing a high turnout of Black Americans for early voting? They're not energized because of the color of their skin, their energized because they know how they're voting!

Brownsox, get a life.

The Death of News(papers).

Guest Article by Mark Wells

Today, the AFP wire service is reporting an article of news that confirms to me news reporting has officially died. It also shows their bias in the campaign for Obama is directing their downward death spiral. But before I get to that story, I believe everyone has considered the situation of news today. Many reports have shown that old stalwarts like the New York Times are cutting back and having to deal with the new medium of the Internet(insert - World’s Smallest Violin). The Christian Science Monitor, unfortunately, just reported that it will be web-only and that they will be cutting their staff significantly. Although these events surely point to the sign of print news’ impending death, it is not market forces on the industry that worry me.

It is the tabloid nature of news, which has found its way into the foundations of our news reporting that shows the most cancerous effect on the business of journalism. Newspapers and news shows find it difficult to compete in the modern world of the information age and have resorted to salacious vitriol to sell papers. Worse of all was this over arching need to impose the meaningless gibberish of Hollywood on the populous.

Which brings us to our case in point. Today a respected international news service reports that, “Grace Jones says she can’t stand Palin” (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=081029153419.z2jjsrbd&show_article=1). “What! Your kidding! Grace Jones doesn’t like Sarah Palin? Oh my God. The world must be coming to an end.” Excuse me but, WHO THE HELL CARES! And, more importantly, what supposedly respectable editor sat in a room and said “Oh yeah, wow, run with that!” This is from an international news wire service that has been in existence since 1835. This is not TMZ. More to the point, Grace Jones!? I repeat, Grace Jones!? Has anyone actually seen her in anything since appearing in the 1985 James Bond movie ‘A View to a Kill’. She is an obnoxious, self described ‘Queen B’ that has repeated acted as a spoiled brat in public and televised situations.

Now I understand, its politics. Everyone has an opinion, and luckily we live in a country where we can freely express our opinion on our own soapbox. But we do not have to listen to the opinions of everyone and we surely don’t need a press corp deciding who’s opinion is appropriate for us to consider valid, especially when it is Grace Jones. Journalists have reported their fair share of vaulted opinions on Sarah Palin from Lindsay Lohan (drunk, drugged out, exhibitionist), Madonna (I can’t make a list that long in this space), and Pamela Anderson (with a breast size bigger than her IQ), all of who’s opinion the press found news worthy.

I for one am glad to see the news sources of the past get their comeuppance. The news-worthy opinion of Grace Jones was truly a sign of their final demise. But I believe it could get worse. The day the news decides we need to know the opinion of Ms. South Carolina ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww), its time to have a good old book (newspaper) burning on the front steps of the New York Times.

Obama: Anti-Semite

I made this short video yesterday primarily to make the point that Barak Hussein Obama is an anti-semite (Jew hater), as well as a socialist. I put Obama's words on a Hitler speech I found on the internet. We all know that Obama is primarily a Marxist, but in this case I chose Hitler to represent Obama. Why you may ask? Hitler hated Marxists. Well the answer lies with the fact that Obama goes around saying whatever he feels may please his audience at any given time. In this video I wanted Obama to be an equal opportunity socialist that way he can't say that Hitler's form of socialism is not supported by him if and when he ever speaks to an audience of fellow Jew haters. After all, socialism is socialism, is socialism.

Obama wasn't looking to 2008

There's a bunch of hoopla about the below conversation Sarah Palin had today with Elizabeth Vargas. Let's take a look:

ELIZABETH VARGAS: If it doesn't go your way on Tuesday ... 2012?

GOV SARAH PALIN: I'm just ... thinkin' that it's gonna go our way on Tuesday, November 4. I truly believe that the wisdom of ... of the people will be revealed on that day. As they enter that voting booth, they will understand the stark contrast between the two tickets. ...

VARGAS: But the point being that you haven't been so bruised by some of the double standard, the sexism on the campaign trail, to say, "I've had it. I'm going back to
Alaska."

PALIN: Absolutely not. I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we've taken, that ... that would ... bring this whole ... I'm not doin' this for naught.
Now let's see how Barack Obama responded to a similar situation in 2004:

Obviously, Palin is the superior politician. She didn't allow herself to be trapped by her own words and risk being called a flip-flopper in 3 years when she announces her run for the presidency. Obama looked like his usual deer in the headlights.

Sarah and the Pope

A joke making the rounds on the Net. I don't know who wrote it, but I wish I had!
Sarah Palin is invited to meet with the Pope while he is vacationing south of Rome in Venice.

The liberal press reluctantly watches the semi-private audience, hoping they will be able to get minimal coverage, if any.

The Pope asks Governor Palin to join him on a gondola ride through the canals of Venice.

They're admiring the sights and agreeing on moral issues when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water.

The gondolier starts to reach for the Pontiff's cap with his pole, but this move threatens to overturn the floating craft. Sarah waves the tour guide off, saying, 'Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry.'

She steps off the gondola onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Pope's hat, bends over and picks it up. She walks back across the water to the gondola and steps aboard.

She hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

Active-Duty Military Solidly Behind CAPT John McCain, USN (Ret.)

Active-duty military members are overwhelmingly in support of the candidate who has military experience, retired Navy Captain John McCain. This poll was done by Military Times, which publishes, independently of the military, a weekly newspaper for each service's members. I read Navy Times, one of these publications, when I was an active-duty Navy officer. It was often highly critical of the Navy, particularly of officers. So it and its sister publications are no shills for McCain or Republicans.

Oh No, Barack Obama Is Changing His Tax Plan Already!

The Redistributor is at it again. What started out as a "more than 250k" tax hike has deteriorated to a "more than 150k" redistribution of wealth plan. Americans are waking up to this "Ponzi" scheme and the polls are reflecting it. McCain is on board with what is going on and is starting to nail Obama as seen below. Obama is on the defense and that is a good place to have him going into the final weekend of the race.

John McCain, this morning in Hershey, Pennsylvania:

Senator Obama has made a lot of promises. First he said people making less than 250,000 dollars would benefit from his plan, then this weekend he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than 200,000 dollars you'll benefit — but yesterday, right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to "middle class people — people making under 150,000 dollars a year." It's interesting how their definition of rich has a way of creeping down. At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back to his vote that Americans making just 42,000 dollars a year should get a tax increase. We can't let that happen.

But the details have faded with our age. However, looking back we eventually would attend a birthday party of one of our friends. You got your invitation and looked forward to the cake and ice cream. This time you were going to really swing hard at that pinata. And of course, the ever popular Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Now I know you are wondering, what does Pin the Tail on the Donkey have to do with the Democrats, and in particular, Barack Obama’s redistribution of wealth plan for the future of America. Hang in there and you will see.

I haven’t thought much about these times or the childhood games, being a middle aged man with older children and only really attending birthday parties that were at our house. So my interaction level with younger kids is quite diminished. However, this is not true for my wife who is a children’s social worker and interacts with kids on a daily basis. I had a conversation with her that hit me so forcefully I had to take a breath and consider the effect of what had just been said. The conversation itself was innocuous and covered the details of how Pin the Tail on the Donkey is no fun for kids any more. They won’t line up to play and pout when it is suggested. When I asked why, my wife said that the game is not played the way it use to be when we were kids. But before I get into that, lets go back to the past.

When we were kids, you went the birthday party, ate your cake and played games. When it was time for Pin the Tail on the Donkey, everyone cheered. You got yourself psyched up. You were going to win this time. But, as always, it was your turn, you were blindfolded, spun around in circles then led off in a drunken walk towards the Donkey board. In the end, you had two types of players; the winner and the losers. Most people cheered for the winner and s(he) was given the “prize”. No one else got the prize, just the winner. Invariably, there were two other types of people at this party; the child who lost so badly that their tail was pinned to the neighbors door and the compassionate, caring child that liked to see everyone happy. The first child, the loser, usually cried and had to be consoled. But, they still lost and they had to live with that feeling and knew what it meant to not win or succeed. The other child, usually one in every crowd, saw the pain on the other loser’s face and would reach into their Pinata winnings and give the loser a few pieces of their candy to make them fell better. Now I know that sounds straight forward, but in that game is the whole basis for the collapse of our society and as such, we have only ourselves to blame.

How? Very simply, but first we need to look at Pin the tail on the Donkey today. As I said earlier, no child wants to play it anymore. Why? Well the game now involves no spinning and children are allowed to “peak” from under the blindfold. Those that peak, get it spot on, those that don’t are only off by a little. But who cares! EVERYONE WINS! Goody bags for all! There’s no more crying over a bad tail placement. The lessons of this game are deep and routed in our culture, possibly never to be removed. And we thought it was just a children’s harmless birthday game.

Well lets go back to the early days. Children learned that not everyone wins and those that try harder usually do win. They learn someone has to lose and that they need to work harder next time to get that tail closer. Most importantly, children understood the benefits of success. PRIZES. If you work or try hard, you succeed and success means value in the form of money or other product of value. But the other “good” lesson from the past was the compassionate child that gave up some of their pinata winnings. The compassionate child learned that helping others was noble, honorable and made them feel good inside. More importantly, the loser learned that people still care about you even if you don’t win and that the next time they see a loser, maybe they will stretch out their hand to help. In effect this game embodies the founding principle of America; work hard, try hard, be your best, work results in success and help your neighbor. But over the years, things went wrong.

More losers began to cry. More parents started placating the losers with small trinkets, not necessarily equivalent to the “prize”. Child learned that it wasn’t their place to help the loser, but an Authority figure would try to make it “right”. This moved on to changing the rules of the game, allowing more kids to win, having more than one winner, until eventually, all kids who player were winners. And the Prizes, the were evenly distributed to the players, not just the winner. The children learned that the game is not about winning and losing, but about cheating (peaking) so that everyone got the tail on the donkey correctly (equality). They learned that an Authority figure would balance out the outcome of the game and if you didn’t like it, all you had to do was cry louder and the authority would redistribute the wealth to make the problem go away. More importantly, children learned it was not their place to help their fellow man. That was the role of the Authority. In the end, the game has become boring. Children do not want to participate in an activity that brings them no satisfaction for what they have done. If I am not mistaken, the communist learned this first hand. Productivity plummeted and people spent more time drinking Vodka than actually working. There was no INCENTIVE.

So in the end, we have spent the last 20 to 30 years promoting Outcome-based Education, removing competition from team sports, eliminating the Valedictorian from schools like a number of counties in American have done and promoting a society based on government being the arbiter of what we receive for our work. We have allowed our self interest in making kids happy to overshadow our responsibly to teach children the foundations of our culture, of our economy and our responsibility to each other. We have allowed the liberals of America to institute a nationwide Pin the Tail on the Donkey game with everyone allowed to cheat. We have learned to be complacent and we have learned to allow government to dictate proper equality in the system. I wonder everyday, looking at the election of Obama and McCain, how young adults can not see through Obama’s tax plan, especially when he openly admits to redistribution in a conversation with Joe the Plumber. But, NOW I understand. I SEE clearly. Its our fault. We gave up on our children and promoted equality where there is none and we altered the mindset of the future of America. How is it that young adults today can justifiably accept the tenets of Socialism and redistribution of wealth? Because everyone gets theirs in the End (Donkey tail that is).

Cheers and More Cheers: Obama voters will help pass Marriage Amendments

Oh no! Say it ain't so! Obama's supporters in California and Florida are actually anti-gay bigots? This can't be. What about all that hope and change?

Thank you Mr. Obama for increasing voter turnout and registering additional "bigoted", "homophobic", and "racist" voters. Some day the Black and Latino Community will look next to them and see that the long-haired, flea-infested, God-hating, KOS-reading, white liberal has nothing in common with them. When that happens, the Socialist movement led by Obama, Reid, and Pelosi will be finished!

In Florida .... "Although only 48 percent of Democrats overall favor the amendment, some 69 percent of black voters support it."

In California ... "46 percent of those who attend historically African American churches believe that society should discourage homosexuality."

Debunking the Debunkers

The Daily Kos tried valiantly, but unsuccessfully, again today to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.  No, we're not talking about Obama's "lipstick on a pig" comment.  It's his 2001 interview on Chicago Public Radio, which was edited into a YouTube video that has created quite a stir in the blogosphere.  The particularly damaging line from the interview is Obama's discussion of "political and community organizing activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change . . . ."

The DK's argument is that he didn't really mean redistribution of wealth.  The DK diarist, "georgia10", bolsters this argument with pronouncements from the left-wing Illuminati, including the "Volokh Conspiracy" (who have "legal minds", so they must be correct) and Cass Sunstein (who "sets the record straight" -- thank goodness that Cass is out here in the blogosphere sorting out all those records -- maybe Obama's birth certificate is among them).  The article concludes with what its author obviously considers a "death blow", the words of the mighty oracle itself, "the Obama campaign".

We are impressed.  The diarists at DK have learned to spin adverse news with the same lawyering style that we are used to hearing from Slick Barry himself.  The centerpiece of this style of spin is a move I like to call "changing the subject".  I have noticed that this is the standard Obama response whenever the McCain campaign makes a direct hit by telling the truth.

First, "georgia10" argues that Obama really talking about the civil rights movement's "tragic" choice of the courts as the venue for their ideological agenda.  They should have used "political and community organizing" instead.  That's all he meant.

We are then told to not to listen what the Obamamessiah said ("Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain," said the Wizard of Oz), but rather to focus on the "relatively narrow legal context" ("Look deeeeep into my eyes," said Dracula):  "What the critics are missing is that the term 'redistribution' didn't mean in the Constitutional context equalized wealth or anything like that.  It meant some positive rights, most prominently the right to education, and also the right to a lawyer." [from Sunstein]

This is not about socialist economics?  Just look at the terms that are used by the quoted sources: "constitutionalize a right to a minimum income", "more general redistribution", etc.

Finally, the official Obama campaign statement:  "Senator Obama did not say that the courts should get into the business of redistributing wealth at all."

Precisely.  As "georgia10" points out, Senator Obama said that the redistribution of wealth should take place via "political and community organizing".  In fact, these are exactly the methods that he has used in his left-wing ideological quest:  first community organizing, then politics.

The coup de grace, however, is found in the video itself.  Obama takes a question from a listener, "Karen", who asks him " . . . [I]s that [i.e., the Courts] the appropriate place for reparative economic work to take place?"

Obama does not correct the caller's use of the phrase "reparative economic work".  He does not redirect the discussion to a "relatively narrow legal context".  He does not talk about "positive rights" like education or legal counsel.

He responds, "I'm not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts."  In other words, the Revolution must come through "political and community organizing."  It's "a process that essentially is administrative and takes a lot of time."  Like a four-year Presidency full of regulations issued by government agencies, maybe?  Aided and abetted by socialist legislation passed by a Democrat-controlled Capitol Hill?  Obama even leaves the door open for Marxist "change" to come through the Judicial Branch as well:  "Any three of us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about economic change through the courts."

He said it himself, "bringing about economic change", in answer to a question about "reparative economic work" (i.e., reparations brought about by "spreading the wealth" through taxation and government payouts).  Or, as Karl Marx put it, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" (Critique of the Gotha Program, 1875).

If you don't believe me, watch the video:

This is not a "fake news controversy" or a "false, desperate attack" on the part of Fox News, the Drudge report, the McCain campaign or anybody else.  It is yet another piece of evidence in the damning indictment of Obama's "Audacity of Socialism".

The REAL DNC Agenda

It's long been known that the only thing the Democratic party cares about is power. It's apparent in every thing you hear from them. At the convention, Hilary Clinton didn't say that Barack Obama is the best MAN for President, but that it was critical to put a Democrat in the White House. It's even more apparent now. The DNC is stopping at nothing to get to 60 seats in the senate, which means that the Republicans in the Senate will have no right to fillibuster to keep bad bills off the President's desk. The DNC is targeting states that they feel are vulnerable to defeat, including Oregon and New Hampshire. If you live in one of these states, do what you can to expose the power grab to everyone you can. This is one of those things that we must work to avoid. The Dems are power hungry and they smell blood.

Attention McCain Supporters, The Left Doesn't Care what the Ballots Say!

We already know Obama has 30,000 lawyers on the ready to challenge any election result he doesn't agree with. Then there is the coded language, where they speak about violent outrage if Obama loses. They are still recruiting lawyers for election day to observe at the polls. (Right, how about campaign and/or protest.)

The bottom line is that they are so convinced of an Obama win, they will stop at nothing, regardless if it is fair or not to ensure that the Messiah is elected.

One of my favorite cyclists likes to say, "Leave everything on the road", meaning that when he crosses the finish line, he will have burned every last ounce of energy in his body. If he falls short? No regrets because he gave it his all, every last bit of it.

We can't have regrets on Election Night, thinking that some Democrats came up short because we failed to leave everything on the road. We can't have Republicans winning simply because more people voted for them. We have to make sure to vote multiple times. We have to make sure that McCain ballots are thrown in the garbage. We need to ensure that the Cowboys show up to vote. We need to get that fake Mickey Mouse driver's license. Also, we need to ensure that those 200,000 unmatched ballots never get a close look. Even if all you can do is steal a vote from a mentally handicapped person, please make sure you do.

Obama, Interuppted

I swear, it's like a sitcom, except funnier.

In today's zany episode, Obama gets exposed for the Socialist he is, forcing staffers to say:

"This is a fake news controversy drummed up by the all too common alliance of Fox News, the Drudge Report and John McCain, who apparently decided to close out his campaign with the same false, desperate attacks that have failed for months." In this seven year old interview, Senator Obama did not say that the courts should get into the business of redistributing wealth at all.

[Laugh track]

Standard Obama spin. It's old and it is taken out of context. Let me tell you, we could fill a phone book with everything said by Obama that he claims was taken out of context. Interesting spin, since the story was discovered by an individual working to do what the National Media Outlets refuse to do, and, we don't need interpretation, we can read Obama's words himself:

OBAMA: If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it I’d be okay.

But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted. One of the I think tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributed change and in some ways we still suffer from that.

And then, Obama decided to spit on the constitution.

MSM Network Columnist Calls Media On Liberal Bias

"The traditional media are playing a very, very dangerous game -- with their readers, with the Constitution and with their own fates," wrote ABC News columnist Michael Malone in his Friday online post. "The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign" has led Malone "for the first time in my adult life -- to be embarrassed to admit what I do for a living." He added, "You need to understand how painful this is for me. I am one of those people who truly bleeds ink when I'm cut. I am a fourth-generation newspaperman."

Although Malone points out that there has always been bias in news reporting ("We all learn that in Reporting 101, or at least in the first few weeks working in a newsroom."), he warns that "even though there is no such thing as pure, Platonic objectivity in reporting, we are to spend our careers struggling to approach that ideal as closely as possible":

  • "That means constantly challenging our own prejudices, systematically presenting opposing views and never, ever burying stories that contradict our own world views or challenge people or institutions we admire. If we can't achieve Olympian detachment, than at least we can recognize human frailty -- especially in ourselves. "

In the light of Malone's article, it is very amusing today to see the Daily Kos' negative posting on Barbara West, whose live TV interview of Joe Biden was covered by Daily AntiKos on Saturday (followed by a lively commentary from our readers). Apparently DK was not pleased that an MSM reporter stepped out of line -- the line being the liberal bias that all journalists are expected to display in their work.

Malone traces the history of the emergence of this bias in the mainstream media (MSM), starting with the "New Journalism" that grew out of the 1960s. Still, journalists were expected to understand that "this work [was] to segregated from 'real' reporting, and, at least in mainstream media, usually was."

This principle went out the window in the 1980s: "Personal opinions and comments that, had they appeared in my stories in 1979, would have gotten my butt kicked by the nearest copy editor, were now standard operating procedure at the New York Times, the Washington Post, and soon after in almost every small town paper in the U.S." The defining moment was CNN International's coverage of the war in Lebanon in 2006:

  • "I sat there, first with my jaw hanging down, then actually shouting at the TV, as one field reporter after another reported the carnage of the Israeli attacks on Beirut, with almost no corresponding coverage of the Hezbollah missiles raining down on northern Israel. The reporting was so utterly and shamelessly biased that I sat there for hours watching, assuming that eventually CNNi would get around to telling the rest of the story … but it never happened."

For Malone, however, coverage of the current Presidential election campaign is a second sentinel event:

  • "Republicans are justifiably foaming at the mouth over the sheer one-sidedness of the press coverage of the two candidates and their running mates. But in the last few days, even Democrats, who have been gloating over the pass -- no, make that shameless support -- they've gotten from the press, are starting to get uncomfortable as they realize that no one wins in the long run when we don't have a free and fair press."

Malone is not a Republican shill. He is not averse to hardball coverage of Republican candidates, such as the intense scrutiny of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin. He points out correctly, "This is the big leagues, and if she wants to suit up and take the field, then Gov. Palin better be ready to play." Yet while the MSM has played hardball with McCain and Palin, it has served up big fat softballs to Obama and Biden:

  • "No, what I object to (and I think most other Americans do as well) is the lack of equivalent hardball coverage of the other side -- or worse, actively serving as attack dogs for the presidential ticket of Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Joe Biden, D-Del."

In particular, the MSM has failed to perform journalistic due diligence on Obama, who is "essentially a cipher, who has left almost no paper trail, seems to have few friends (that at least will talk) and has entire years missing out of his biography." Illumination of Obama's past is not the Democratic Presidential candidate's job, it's the MSM's. "[I]t alone (unlike the alternative media) has had the resources to cover this story properly, and has systematically refused to do so."

Malone provides a list of issues and events that have been written about incompletely, not at all, or in an attempt to rationalize and explain away the story:

  • Obama's drug use (compare coverage of Cindy McCain's addiction)

  • Bill Ayers

  • Tony Rezko

  • falsified voter registrations (i.e., ACORN)

  • Senator Biden's gaffes

The MSM's "Joe the Plumber" coverage ranks, for Malone, as the "absolute nadir" of the MSM's malpractice of election journalism:

  • "Middle America, even when they didn't agree with Joe, looked on in horror as the press took apart the private life of an average person who had the temerity to ask a tough question of a presidential candidate. So much for the standing up for the little man. So much for speaking truth to power. So much for comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable, and all of those other catchphrases we journalists used to believe we lived by."

So when one television reporter dares to throw a few hardball pitches at Senator Biden (who has been playing in the "big leagues" a lot longer than Governor Palin), let's not start whining and crying. After all, the rest of the MSM is ready, willing and able to do damage control.

Obama MRI Reveals What "Change" Really Means

The following quotes were revealed via an MRI scan of Barack Obama's brain:

"While the miser is merely a capitalist gone mad, the capitalist is a rational miser."

"We should not say that one man's hour is worth another man's hour, but rather that one man during an hour is worth just as much as another man during an hour. Time is everything, man is nothing: he is at the most time's carcass."

"The theory of Communism may be summed up in one sentence: Abolish all private property."

"The rich will do anything for the poor but get off their backs."

"Machines were, it may be said, the weapon employed by the capitalists to quell the revolt of specialized labor."

"Landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed. "

"Our mutual value is for us the value of our mutual objects.Hence for us man himself is mutually of no value.

"The slave frees himself when, of all the relations of private property, he abolishes only the relation of slavery and thereby becomes a proletarian; the proletarian can free himself only by abolishing private property in general."

"The mode of production of material life conditions the social, political and intellectual life process in general. It is not the consciousness of men that determines their being, but, on the contrary, their social being that determines their consciousness."

Fundy handles the polling posts, so please do not expect much from me.
“There is no question that this race continues to tighten and that McCain is finding his message again,” said Pollster John Zogby. “It is after all about the economy and that is how McCain tightened it up the last time. I have said over and over again, when he focuses on extraneous issues, he screws up. In today's single day of polling, it was 49% to 46% in favor of Obama. McCain has moved his own numbers each of the three days and Obama has gone down from 54% to 50% to 49%. I have alluded before to this strange, magnetic pull that brings Obama down to 48% or 49%, a danger zone for him. McCain's gains are among white voters, where he now leads by 12 points, and with men, where he again has a healthy lead. There is still a lot of campaign to go. A lot of campaign to go.”

Free Market Fundamentalism

In today's Pundit Round-Up, the Kos quoted Paul Krugman:
I suspect that the main reason for the dramatic swing in the polls is something less concrete and more meta than the fact that events have discredited free-market fundamentalism. As the economic scene has darkened, I’d argue, Americans have rediscovered the virtue of seriousness. And this has worked to Mr. Obama’s advantage, because his opponent has run a deeply unserious campaign.

This is not a new term, but it was popularized by George Soros, and it is a dangerous one. Be ready to see it more and more. For those not inclinded to read the entire Wikipedia article, it essentially means, a belief that free markets are best served when individuals pursue their self interests. It is a pejorative term, essentially saying that a faith in pure free markets is wrong. If you remember the movie, A Beautiful Mind, the main character, John Nash (played by Russell Crowe,) questioned Adam Smith's invisible hand theory. Here is what it says:
The invisible hand is a metaphor coined by the economist Adam Smith. Once in The Wealth of Nations and other writings, Smith demonstrated that, in a free market, an
individual pursuing his own self-interest tends to also promote the good of his community as a whole through a principle that he called “the invisible hand”. He argued that each individual maximizing revenue for himself maximizes the total revenue of society as a whole, as this is identical with the sum total of individual revenues.

John Nash in his most famous theory, refutes Adam Smith in application of his game theory, specifically named the Nash equilibrium. I know I am oversimplifying, but it basically says in application to economics, that everybody does better, if everybody acts in their own self interest and in the self-interest of others. A quick example, if you could make 5% by investing yourself, or 50% by investing as a group, then it is in everyone's best interest to invest as a group.

All of this sounds great, the problem is, that a pur Nash equilibrium can never exist in the global economy. So it is a typical liberal proposition, it works on paper, or in pure intellectual minds, but could never work in the real world.

This is important to the discussion. Market Fundamentalism is at its core, an attack on Capitalism. Progressive, is a repackaging of Socialism. Fairness in application to taxes, health care, gas prices, energy, education, among other things, is a hidden form of Totalitarianism. Regulation of Free Markets, is a trojan horse term for Communism.

The thought process is that if the government controls all of the levers, everything can be made fair, and all of us can live in huge houses, drive fancy cars, afford the latest toys, and not work that hard. When the message is delivered by a young charismatic celebrity, following a incredibly unpopular President, it becomes even harder to push back. History has shown what happens when countries suspend belief and turn to the loving embrace of big government. This movie has played before and if we elect Obama, we are guaranteeing change that we cannot afford.

Here is a preview of the coming onslaught, here, here, here, here, and here.

Time To Go Cling To My Religion

It is time once again that I, Fundy, say goodbye until Monday morning. I understand that not everyone at the DAK will join me but that's okay. So those of you who wish to post on the Lord's Day, have at it. That's between you and Him. I will however continue to leave you with a Bible passage each and every Saturday night.

Until Monday Morning, God Bless!

Psa 118:14-29 KJV
(14) The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
(15) The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
(16) The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
(17) I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
(18) The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
(19) Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
(20) This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
(21) I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
(22) The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
(23) This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
(24) This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
(25) Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
